International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2023

On December 4th, 2023, Hope Alive for Possibilities Initiative – HAPI was ably represented by our Founder and ED who actively participated in the commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities #idpwd2023🎉 in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.

This year’s theme focused on collaborative efforts, “United in Action to Rescue the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for, with, and by Persons with Disabilities.

The event underscored the instrumental role played by PWDs in advocating for the implementation of the National Disability Act 2018, emphasizing the importance of their voices in addressing key issues.

Stakeholders were urged to prioritize accessibility in both health facilities and public buildings, with a specific call to establish a technical working committee as a foundational step.
